    More a remake than a sequel, and not a very good remake, even by early 90’s sci-fi b-movie standards. You get the rehashed plot with more underhanded business dealings and less alligator action. Any of the interesting plotting in Alligator is abandoned along the way. We do get Richard Lynch, Dee Wallace, Steve Railsback, and Kane Hodder, which is nice.     This is the bar by which all other Italian horror are measured. The gore is beyond excessive. There’s some delightfully violent moments, like the execution of the warlock. If that’s all the movie offered though, this would probably be a three-star effort.
