Like a lot of contemporary anime, the characters aren't fully developed, but the world building, background design, action sequences, and direction are all fantastic.

The world needs Mr. Rogers now, just as much as it always has.
Wow, this was a lot more relevant than I thought it even could be. It's always a relief when a film has this much hype, and it can actually still surprise you.
