the sweet release of finally watching this in theaters after waiting so long… amazing.

i kept thinking about what to rate it and comparing it to everyone else’s ratings and i just said fuck it, 5 stars. I love denis villeneuve and i think his love for Dune was shown all over this movie. best way i can describe this movie is, it’s an epic. an actual sci-fi iliad.

everyone talks about how confusing the book is, which scared me…

should’ve gotten a theater release. i would’ve loved to have seen that final battle on the big screen.

this was very fun, which is what i was hoping for when going in. all i could ask for really. the plot is so convoluted and messy, and there are many scenes that feel like they were added in for more style and pizzazz, but also to just pad up the runtime. speaking of which, could have been shortened, i was shocked at how long this movie was.

cameos were fun, characters were great, and action scenes were tight and easy to follow. just overall a good time and i am happy with it.

man oh man, the MCU is having a rough time lately (besides MoM, idc what anyone says, that movie is the most visually interesting and fun MCU movie since GotGv2).

Ragnarok worked when it was released because it was the much-needed rework of Thor as a character. But Feige and Taika took that and of course dialed it up 200% with this movie. At this point, Thor is just an idiot. He doesn't even feel like a god/warrior that uses…
