definitelynick’s review published on Letterboxd:
my number one most anticipated movie of the year and it did not disappoint... for the most part.
visually and technically speaking, this movie is on another level. absolutely gorgeous to watch and the editing is so well-done i was just *chef kissing* the entire time. and the movie hits that unsettling, anxious feeling that Hereditary hit for me but the story just didn’t pack a punch for me. i still have much to think about because i know there’s still so much in there that i didn’t fully understand. also, i felt so exhausted by the end, it literally felt like a journey.
one thing is for sure though, ari aster is batshit insane and i want to watch every single movie he creates.
