Cruella ★★★

Much to my surprise, Cruella is a decent film!

It got amazing visuals, the costumes, which are the soul of the movie, are great (even if some of them only existed with the help of CGI). Also the set design and the 60s and 70s music were great to transport us back in time, although the use of hit songs was quite exaggerated. The acting also deserves praise, both for the lead and the supporting actors. Now the story was quite weak and unconvincing, even if it had good moments. The title character, obviously, had to change from the animation into somebody more likable and less animal-murdererish, so sometimes we can see Emma Thompson as more of a Cruella than Emma Stone herself.
