this isn't "so bad it's good," it's just bad

I don't think I've ever seen a film with better storytelling. Next to zero expository dialogue in the first act, everything is set up through action, and done so perfectly. One of Cameron's best.

Not as bad as everyone says! The inventive action-adventure of the Pirates series, but in the Wild West. However, it's somehow both racist and native-redemptive, cliche, flawed, and it's way too long. He doesn't even become the Lone Ranger until an hour into the movie. I don't know why HBC's character is billed so well, she's in exactly two scenes. Long story short, it was alright. I'd never recommend it, but it's really not as bad as people presumed.

"Men In Black is cool... but what if it was just a little bit worse?"

Ugh.

Clumsy, flawed, but still very fun!

I wish it was a lot better than it was.

I've seen this film three times and it's a joy every time.

I don't think Peter Berg is a very good director.
