    Can only appreciate that every time one decides to watch an Obayashi you can anticipate it being weird (to the point it is like, tautological to even mention "obayashi" "weird") but that will only get you so far as you will immediately be thrown off by the many, many types of weird this man had at his disposal. You never get quite the same thing twice. Are toothy piss beetles my brand of weird? Maybe not, but heck, I can respect the seemingly endless stream off-kilter ideas that he makes feel harmonious.
