Film noir in western garb. Every word in Fuller's script sounds excerpted from a detective novel, and every shot is cool, cavernous, or both. Way sexier than you'd expect. Barbara Stanwyck does her own stunts. Two banger songs belted by a singing cowboy. 80 minutes long. Four stars.
