  Ugh this was so fucking riveting until the murder happened. Would love to know what happened here behind the scenes, because not only does the murder story drag things down,  everything then wraps up so abruptly it all feels like I’m missing something. 3 1/2 stars for the initial fun sleaze

  I’m going to be positive: it def gets better about two and a half hours in.

  Love Jeremy Irons. Love Nick Cave.  Love the slo-mo hot dog/ sesame seed bit.

  And I def get Zack Snyder’s vision now. I would probably enjoy his vision more if he accepted the fact that he makes popcorn flicks, and not very enjoyable ones. (Based on one and half movies) god his style is exhausting and ultimately boring. I don’t know what the technical term is but I hate the way this movie looked and it seems to be his thing?
