The amount of story that is told through visuals alone is astounding, this is thee example of “show, don’t tell” as a cinematic rule.
That bed scene between Lou and Ruben is stunning; so much is communicated so perfectly with the most minimal amount of dialogue. I would so badly love to read this screenplay because this is exactly what good writing looks like.
(Also everyone is saying this but it’s fucking true. Riz is an insanely talented actor I hope he isn’t snubbed for this role and yes, the sound design is indeed as amazing as everyone has already said.)
