It‘s a cute kids movie. Not much there to see for adults.

I kinda hated the animation style. It didn‘t live up to Pixar standards, more like a cheap Ice Age.

What botheres me even more is the story though. What exactly did Arlo accomplish for the family to earn his badge in the end? Dad died because of him, mom had to work even harder while he was gone having fun with his new pet/friend, nothing useful came out of it. Yes he was brave for a moment but who can prove that and, again, what does the family get out of this?

Maybe I‘m reading too much into it but I don‘t get the moral of the story.
