Not sure what happened but I loved every second of it.

Still holds up today. Love those practical effects. Movies were so damn creative and fun back then!

Did an AI write this script? There was just too much of everything and nothing really landed. An uncanny valley of emotions. I do not get the high praise.

I think this was very generic and there was no real arc in any character. Just one tiny bump after the other, more and more white men showing us what good and decent people they actually are and then it fades out into the epilogue where everything is just fine as expected.

If they just went all in with the actor instead of trying to convince us this is actually Michael Jordan but they can’t show him for some reason, that would’ve been less weird.

Anyways, I liked the movie. I loved the aesthetics. It was like an 80s film but higher quality. Fun to watch.

Also nice: The woman at Adidas actually spoke perfect German and not some gibberish like in most films.

Can we talk about the dad throwing some eggs in the mixer and drinking that stuff like it’s a normal thing?

I’m sold now.

Not too bad.

Gonna stock up on pretzel sticks now.
