    The Coens cannot fail me!

  • Moana

Visually stunning, some Disney-teardrop moments at the end but overall doesn't stick with me.
That "Shiny" song should have been a gangsta rap. I think they wanted to but management said No in the last minute, so they farted this one out instead.

    Solo: A Star Wars Story

It was a fun watch. If you get the idea out of your head that everything in the Star Wars universe must „feel“ like the good old Star Wars films, you are in for a ride. It is a spin-off after all.

Though a bit unfocused in the narrative, it gives a great perspective on the scale of the refugee crisis. Also beautiful camera work.

You have to turn your plothole-senses off to enjoy this piece but then it is truly a spectacle.

It also wants to remind you that, in the Oasis you can be ANYTHING you want and so every minority chose to be something else, but the main character decided to be himself: a white male.

    The Babadook

The horror doesn’t work for me, the mom and „the boy“ are annoying to no end and the only normal person in this town seems to be the neighbor old lady. The weirdness is too subtle to feel intended though. Not my style.

Holy Hell, only The Exorcist could make my skin crawl like this before.
