I love you, Abbas.
This film provoked the strongest emotional reaction in me of any of his films since I saw Certified Copy four years ago, and that's saying a lot considering the others I've seen in between.
I've seen four of his films in the past three days, and each one has been brilliant and quietly powerful in their own ways. But this one just hit me hard.
He was such a master, a class apart, and his films were absolute treasures.
And he just keeps rising in my list of all-time favorite filmmakers.
