Edge of Tomorrow is what you would get if you remade Groundhog Day with Tom Cruise as the lead.
The first 5 chapters are very emotionally stirring, and exemplify that Tarkovsky was is the greatest existential filmmaker of all time, but the final 3 chapters are missing the philosophical focus that makes the beginning great.
