I don't even want to write anything about this. I'm afraid none of you will believe me. This might be the best Werner Herzog film ever. This is quintessential Werner Herzog. I question how a fan of Herzog's aesthetic could not like this film, but it seems that the majority of reviews for this are poor. Regardless of all that, Herzog has still got it. I'm honestly speechless. Watch this if you like philosophical avant garde films.
I don't think this is really about capitalism, the media, or even a psychopath. For my money, Lou Bloom is an intelligent eccentric with somewhat anti-social tendencies. The key lies in a candid piece of dialogue when Lou retorts, "what if it's not that I don't understand people, maybe I just don't like them?"
