So confused by all the love this is getting. Felt like an SNL sketch about aging mobsters. And De Niro playing a middle aged hit man was not unlike watching Dolemite do kung fu.

I will never see the Waynes the same way again. And for that—I am grateful.

Best film of 2018. Brilliant critique of racial  capitalism. Perfect really. I was at 4.5 stars and then they introduced the horse people and I was, like: 5. Totally a 5. The posthuman revenge fantasy at the end was EVERYTHING 🐴🐗🐺

This movie basically predicted the future. It was a sleeper hit for sure and I’ve been recommending it to people ever since I rented it—wait for it—from Blockbusters. So many memorable lines. Mike Judge is a satirical genius. Up there with Twain and Mencken.

Oof. I know a lot of people loved this one, but I found it so overwrought and overwritten and sooooo CW, which isn’t always a bad thing, but in this case, it was. Like: David Lynch for CW fans? Time is confetti and ghosts are wishes? Too many shitty analogies and someone in the writer’s room had a serious Poe complex. I just wanted them all to shut the fuck up! It’s like they had to pack in every #whitpersonproblem there is: heroin addiction, helicopter parenting, black mold. It was like The Money Pit, but not funny.

No better comedy has ever been made. Mel Brooks is God and this is his opus. 🙏

I know this movie is crap, but I can’t help myself. Sasha Baron Cohen is the second coming of Mel Brooks. This movie is worth the stupid line about “You’ve got mail bomb” alone.
