Beyond the Black Rainbow 2010
Saw this at a midnight viewing with some of my favorite people!
It was a truly hypnotic and disturbing experience that put me into a bizzare coma. My favorite kind of viewing experience.
Panos Cosmatos is the mind melting force that cinema needs.

City of God 2002
The hyper blurry camera can get a little frustrating at times, but it doesn't take away from this film's intense realism.

Being John Malkovich 1999
Underneath this bizzare movie I think is an important message about the human race. John Cusack plays Craig Schwartz, a puppeteer who struggles to get his work noticed. It's not until he finds the portal into Malkovich's mind, and takes control of him, that his work finally becomes famous and appreciated. People don't want to see a "nobody's" work, but they'll pay attention if it's a celebrity, somebody that they already know is good.
But Malkovich was a nobody once too wasn't he? Such is the hypocrisy of human beings.
Malkovich? Malkovich Malkovich. Malkovich!

Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) 2014
"People, they love blood. They love action. Not this talky, depressing, philosophical bullshit". Such a brilliant movie from start to finish, I loved this movie even more the second time. Boyhood vs Birdman for best picture is a very tough call, almost as tough as No Country For Old Men vs. There Will Be Blood.
