Diego Crespo’s review published on Letterboxd:
Gina Prince-Bythewood has not been allowed to make nearly enough movies. And it’s no secret she’s been gunning for a big budget debut (that Black Cat/Silver Sable flick sounded so fun). Now that she finally got it, I’m happy to say it was clearly way overdue. What a great ride. The character stuff here really shines. The action is solid too but I’ll be thinking about several exchanges far more than any set piece. GPB’s got the goods and I want far more. Don’t let her take another half decade to brings us another movie. Fucking Hollywood.
Not as good as The Last Boy Scout
