Couldn't you have found a better end frame, Tony? This shit is a major (not minor) miracle, from the complicated yet clear scriptwriting making sci-fi timetravel shit totally flow into the cop race-against-time template to the operatic emotional moments to Denzel giving one of his lightest performances ever without sacrificing the emotional intensity when it's called for. Val Kilmer in a serious role underplaying to grand effect, Adam Goldberg nailing scientific exposition dude so hard you actually want more of the character you never want more of, Jim Caviezel with insane intensity, what's not to love? I mean, besides some male-gaze shit that's uncomfortable with only twelve years distance, and that lazy af end frame.
