    my mother and i don’t understand each other. 

    she doesn’t understand why her comments about my body hurt me when ive said i wanted to lose weight.

    she doesn’t understand why i like girls but continues to support me (in the hopes that ill find the right man someday).

    she doesn’t understand how every comment has built up, how ive piled and repressed everything, things she probably doesn’t even remember saying, onto my own everything bagel.
