3 stars suggests I enjoyed this film more than I did. It was very clever in places, and there’s some great acting with beautiful cinematography. 

BUT

But. I was bored. It wasn’t particularly scary. There wasn’t a lot of suspense or dread. Many times I rolled my eyes at why, just why, the 4 Americans didn’t leave. Anthropology I guess.

It feels like there’s a really good 100 minute movie in here somewhere but instead it’s indulgent with obvious quality in places.
