In the Cut

A neo-noir centered on a woman who isn’t a femme fatale? I’ll take it, thank you very much. I feel like I’ve seen parts of this before? The visual style here is quite different from Bright Star, which I saw just before this. Lots of shallow DoF/tilt-shift-ey shots. Not my favorite look, but it does feel like a lot of directors followed Campion’s lead for a few years there.
