I always find Taika Waititi's films a little lacking. He's an exceptional visual storyteller and his films are stunning, creative and interesting but lack any emotional punch. Hunt for the Wilderpeople was an interesting watch, at times funny and slightly endearing (and Sam Neil is excellent in it) but a hour after seeing the film, I couldn't remember the name of the movie I watched, which I think sums up my feelings on the film.

A cute retread of Groundhog Day - entertaining and a decent diversion for 90 mins or so

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace 1999
Such missed opportunity. The long awaited return instead is filled with a perfunctory story, wooden acting, a precious kid and Jar Jar Binks. Almost a chore to rewatch
