Wrath of Man

Wrath of Man ★★★★

Probably the closest Guy Ritchie will ever come to making a horror movie as Statham's joyless near-mute protagonist is let loose on Los Angeles to mercilessly tear through the criminals who wronged him like a plague. A bleak and brutal crime film with the cherry on top being Chris Benstead's genuinely unsettling score comprised mostly of droning strings and weird rhythmic drumming. Would make a good double bill with Mike Hodge's I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD.
