Ben Buckingham’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Overlooked Hotel.
Haunted America, seeping mildewed rotting but held together with sharp angles that will take a century or two to collapse. Those sharp angles trap everything, imprinting on the quiet spaces of the mindscape, to crawl into the corners of the United Horror Hotels of America.
Triple feature this with Henennlotter's Basket Case first, this second, Kubrick's The Shining third. Wedged right between the two, a domineering inflexibility against their hyperdistortions; A haunted intermission of reality, one that will not be overpowered.
