Jack’s review published on Letterboxd:
I find it really funny how fans of the series are dunking on IGN for their review criticizing the movie for having "too much plot," when in reality, they're totally right. The plot of these games is so nonsensical and stupid that adapting it into a film really shows how hastily written it all was. What people seem to really forget is that the original game wasn't so beloved for its lore - that came later - but rather for its unique, vibe-heavy mascot horror that was damp with atmosphere. This has absolutely none of that and because of it, this feels like nothing more than an overlit, wooden cash injection for Scott Cawthon.
