Yeah, I really liked this movie. But there’s something about it that screams at me to not give it the full 5 stars it deserves. It might be with the fake rape thing, idk I’ll get back to you. Though I do think it’s really compelling, idk about the fake rape thing. Gonna have to play it by ear.
I’m so ashamed to admit I liked this, tho I don’t feel fair to rate it because I watched it with a family of annoying Theater kids who saw this before when it was on tour yet I had to tell them a lot of stuff I just knew from reading, posts, and the Hamilton Drunk History episode. Also they had the bass all the way up and had it very loud while talking over it so I had to…
Holy shit this film is amazing. When I was younger, the story of Moses was always my favorite. Idk why, but I always loved when Passover rolled around and we got to read it. This film takes the story and makes it an epic, with some of my favorite orchestration and stunning animation. Especially the opening and my personal favorite, Let My People Go. This film used to make me shit my pants during the angel of death, I was terrified of that for so long, but I still loved the film. This film is a masterpiece, it makes me feel so much.
