HARBULARY BATTERIES. A perfect pairing to the first Guardians movie. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars as well, is because I had a few personal issues with some minor details. Nonetheless, this plays off its predecessor in an efficient manor. The cast list, humor, CG, character arcs (especially Drax) and continued plot is marvelous. The first segment of the movie with dancing baby Groot is everything I never knew I needed. Mantis is a wonderful addition to the Guardians and her parts with Drax are the funniest moments of the movie. Yandu and Nebula get much bigger roles and they completely crush it. Rocket really comes into his own and Quill figures out some interesting details about himself. This is truly an amazing sequel, which doesn’t happen often in cinema. Two more things, baby Groot is the cutest thing in the galaxy and also, I’m Mary Poppins y’all! Ok, one more thing... Ending the movie on Father and Son by Cat Stevens literally ripped my soul apart. That was so sentimental, I could barely take it. Rating - 4.5/5 = Masterpiece.
