Sarah Welch-Larson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Home is where I want to be / but I guess I’m already there
I can name probably three Talking Heads songs off the top of my head, but every song in the set felt engrained in my DNA. (My dad introduced me to the concept of music videos by showing me a clip of this movie’s performance of Once in a Lifetime.) All them could have been written today, about this moment in time, with all our rage and anxiety and joy and possibilities and worry about the future and the economy and the virus. I’d think less of them if they were written now—they’d be too on the nose—but they feel both urgent and timeless, and I love them even more for it.
Same as it ever was / same as it ever was / same as it ever was
