I HATE MALE CULTURE. Christopher Nolan is Michael Bay and you can’t tell me any different. At one point in this drawn out, cheesy, nonsensical movie the only woman character (who exists only to be pushed around on a literal stretcher and periodically saved at all costs) is told that the whole world is at danger of being destroyed. To which she replies ‘...including my son!’

I don’t know if Rashida Jones can carry a movie, particularly when no character whatsoever has been written for her. This movie spends its run time glorifying Bill Murray’s incredibly misogynistic character and allowing him the space and time to constantly monologue about how men are hardwired to want to control and impregnate all women. I guess there’s some sort of guise about their father daughter relationship developing, which may have been interesting if we had been given any indication…
