Yeah, the reviews got this one right. Funny, charming, an easy and breezy watch, and a story that actually surprises you with a few turns. The animation style is a delight to watch. I like it when you can tell that everyone involved in a film seemed to have had a blast making it: the actors voicing the turtles are especially delightful.

A really fun movie that oversimplifies the complicated mess that is gender politics, misogyny and the perils of patriarchy. A reasonably enjoyable documentary exploring the passion drummers have for drumming. But ironically, the narrative style of the film is a straightforward 4/4 beat with no surprises. It also suffers from trying to cover too much ground - a tighter focus with a more inventive storyline could have made this special.

This movie only needed to be a serviceable, well-paced, adrenaline-heavy action / survival / horror film to make it great. Instead, it's a tired, cliched, trite flick that wastes Adam Driver's considerable talent. Low stakes, inevitable ending, terrible dinosaur reveals... a lot happens in this movie on screen. And yet... nothing actually happens in this story.
