Matthew’s review published on Letterboxd:
So much better than I expected. The cast was great, except for a miscast Abbie Cornish (Who wasn't bad but, like I said, miscast,) and the technical stuff was good, but especially the directing and cinematography (That extreme long shot of Frances McDormand running to put out the billboard fires immediately? Stellar.) And speaking of Frances, that Oscar was so well deserved as she brings complexity and such a legit ferocity to Mildred that could've been overdone or hammy even.
