Domi Longobardi’s review published on Letterboxd:
Lanthimos moves away from his film style with a leap into the past, with many references to Kubrick's Barry London.
The director takes up his ideology of surrealism not in the whole story but in some scenes (such as with the duck race scenes) and stages an interesting and believable period piece with divine actors, I think I love Emma Stone and Olivia Colman.
I loved the direction. The shots taken with the fisheye lens are beautiful, I really like the ways of directing experimented by Lanthimos during his filmography.
