In which Ryan Coogler struggles to cram in every radical idea he can while still being forced to toe the imperialist, technocrat line of the MCU, Michael B. proves he's the next Denzel, and white people finally get to feel tokenized in a major studio film.
I am happy that people are excited about this movie. Let's not reduce the importance of films as cultural events. I hope people continue to have reasons to dress up when going to see movies in theatres.
Still, let's agree to never make the CIA a good guy in anything ever again, please.
