Don Alex’s review published on Letterboxd:
"Joker" is now tied with "A Clockwork Orange" as my personal choice for THE Greatest Film of All Time. It is the only one in my 55+ years that has come close to matching Kubrick's classic. They are both brilliantly visionary and completely unique cinematic masterpieces, and the shatteringly intense performance by Joaquin Phoenix matches that of Malcolm McDowell in it's subversive wit, with an added dose of empathy and humanity that the completely sociopathic Alex lacked. That is why it is my choice for THE Greatest Film Performance of All Time (dethroning my previous choice, Daniel Day Lewis in "There Will Be Blood", who had dethroned Robert DeNiro in "Raging Bull").
