Don't hurt my boys, they good boys.

Sometimes movies feel like they're made for you. I am definitely not saying I'm currently depressed or anything like that - I mean that this is raw emotion from creative, depressed, overthinking, underachieving millenial boys. It's funny that it's sad and it's sad that it's funny. Unfiltered and unrestrained, this doesn't seem packaged for everyone. It does really feel like a fist bump from guys like you through the screen. It isn't a…

This has literally my favorite structure of any film, all time. Open black with a drum roll, crescendoing and building tempo to bring you into the tension from the 1st frame. You're given a perfect setup, characters, setting, just EVERYTHING. Every single department knocks it out of the park. The scenes are flawless and the pacing is excellent. It builds into the most adrenaline fueled ending and probably my favorite ending to a movie ever. I'll never forget how stunned…

Listen up, class. Today in Sequel School we'll be talking about B2TF again. Now I know T2 is top of the class but the rest of you need to pay attention and take some notes so you can step it up! This is how you run it back!

---this would be the clear winner of the greatest sequel debate if Crispin Glover had returned :/

EDIT: not that this is rated poorly.....but where are the 10/10s?? It's way more than nostalgia, this shit is magical. I've never had to think about how one of the greatest movies of all time might be 'underrated' 😂

    We have him!

    No, he has us.

Wasn't expecting much so I was surprised by this little Apocalypto-Predator hybrid. It doesn't do anything new but it seems surprisingly fresh for this franchise and never goes off the rails.

The focus on the food chain and prey vs predator was a pretty cool take. This has a few similarities to NOPE, like understanding humanity's spot in the food chain with a new predator introduced, what is/isn't viewed as a threat, etc.…

This is a thinker. I feel like I need to sleep on this to really digest it, but I also don't think I could dive in and break it all down without another watch.

Beautifully shot in a dream like world and a hypnotic choir carries out throughout most of the film. It's a fairy tale but never like I've seen before. The editing was actually pretty awful to begin, but it calms down and the stretched out scenes suck…

There's never been another movie like this one. Perfect blend of sci-fi and action, the right kind of comedy sprinkled in, and a time travel plot that doesn't go off the rails. I know in later movies it does, but those feel separate to me. Even the 1st film just feels like a prologue to this one.

In my top 5 greatest action flicks for sure.
