The world building is very interesting but the story told within it is obvious and cliched. Will Smith is your typical Will Smith. It screams of so much wasted potential.

Love a good British set post apocalypse and this is a great one! Can you really say no to Glenn Close vs zombies?

Tom Cruise is Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders is great, and there is lots and lots of running.

The more they make of these the more convoluted and nonsensical they get.

An excellent take on Spiderman for the MCU. Not perfect but most of my complaints are quite nitpicky. My only worry is one which doesn't really affect me or probably many other people. It relies an awful lot on you having seen many of the previous MCU films. It would not be anywhere near as good as a stand-alone story.

Based on the trailer I had not been planning to watch this at the cinema. It didn't look like it was for me. It was Edgar Wright though, so I knew I would probably see it at some point but likely not until it was on demand somewhere. But thanks to the fact the Edgar Wright kept retweeting lots of positive comments I realized this was actually getting good buzz so I decided to give it a go sooner than…

Not as terrible as I expected it to be. Not great but some solid turn-your-brain-off popcorn entertainment.

For a cheap horror film this was pretty dumb but I've seen much much worse. While the story is lacking there is at least some production value. If you're looking for some cheap gore and ample nakedness it's worth a look.

I read a review of this which said it was absolutely disgusting. So with that in mind and knowing it was by Eli Roth I knew it was going to be a film for me. I found it be be fairly tame though. I thought it was great and I really enjoyed it but I've seen many more grim things in terms of gore. In fact as we talking Eli Roth, I'd rate Hostel higher on that scale. Still any horror fan should enjoy this.
