Matt Wood’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is actually my first David Lynch. Obviously he’s been on my list for a while, but I just never got around to it.
Was this a good place to start? It’s hard to tell.
I’m not sure if I liked it or not. It’s difficult to tell because it felt like it was in a different language. It felt like there was intention, but I didn’t have the right vocabulary. In some ways it felt like 8 1/2, but that was much more intuitive for me.
The more distance I get from it, the more I liked it actually. I think that’s because it feels different if you look at it as a whole and not so much as a narrative.
