Good Luck to You, Leo Grande 2022
An excellently and excitingly sweet chamber piece. Emma Thompson gives a career performance here and Daryl McCormack (who I have absolutely never seen before turning this movie on) feels tailor made for this role.

Ratatouille 2007
“The new needs friends.”
When you boil it down, Bird’s script and the movie as a whole are just such a fantastic love letter to art, consumption, and criticism. So much so that A.O. Scott built a significant portion of his excellent Better Living Through Criticism around Ratatouille and, in particular, Anton Ego. The depths and delights of this movie always surprise.
