ADVENTURE π₯ TIME
Pure comic gold. Dave Foley going through the worst day, while being an idiot in a sea of morons. Cartoon comedy absurdity with a near perfect gag ratio. Never a dull moment or a missed opportunity for something goofy.
At the same time Don Draper was going through his existential crisis trying to sell cars and beer to post war Americans; in Japan they were busting ass trying to push chocolate and caramel to kids. A really fun comic dive into an advertising war with an unlikely spokeswoman and a series of ridiculous contests and promotions. That the world doesn't have a movie about Nintendo made in this spirit is a shame. Just do a fictionalized version of Gunpei Yokoi, creator of the Game & Watch, Gameboy and Virtual Boy.

How to take a fun and decent early cult satanic panic movie and then blast on the best, most get out your seat and clap ending I've seen in a minute. Absolutely fucking ridiculous. The most nightmarish moment of being had by Borgnine (less you're into EB). Super action hero Tom Skerritt is always fun to see. The gathering of great melting. A true, capital 'H' halloween movie. Should be playing on TBS all damn Halloween day.
1/ Yo, Letterbxd add the whole anthology NOW!
2/ This was very funny. Best Pixar film in a decade.
It's been an interesting movie day. M. Night is back with a film that ehhh... might annoy people, but also they might get into it. Homie is back with his more overt B-movie Twilight Zone/Outer Limits material. This one actually based on a French graphic novel that he's loosely adapted. People go to a remote beach and start gettin' OLD son! Why? How? When? Where? You'll have to see! As a resident M. Night "appreciator" and considering the onslaught ofβ¦
