Inferno ★★★

Although Inferno lacks the same calibre of shocks heights that Argento hits in many of his other films, it is, thankfully, more consistent in terms of pacing (until it dwells for a bizarre 10 minutes on a man with a bag of cats). Argento is at his worst when he thinks he has a good narrative, and in Inferno he pretty much throws plot out the window and proceeds from one weird and nasty scene to another. Stylish, as usual.
