Greg Dorr’s review published on Letterboxd:
I found this indie horror movie pretty gripping for the first 2/3, working both as a carefully paced genre exercise and as a metaphor for sex-related shame and fear. In the final third, sadly, I think it largely fails to work in any regard other than on the metaphorical level. I wish it could have maintained its integrity as a story, as well.
After this and The Guest, I am becoming a big fan of Maika Monroe, who seems like a sweeter edition of Chloe Sevigny.
Terrific musical score.
