I might have liked this if it had been 70-80 minutes long, tops. Louise Brooks does her best foreshadowing of Isabella Rossellini as a flapper whose genuinely careless affections pave the road to hell. Some neat visuals and one or two strong moments can't compensate for a lack of storytelling discipline that makes this drag and drag. I'd like to see more of Brooks, though.
