    The Letterboxd description of the film isn't quite accurate, but it's a good shorthand.     I'm not entirely sure, but "You Only Live Twice" appears to be a spoof of Austin Powers. Except not as funny.

    The third installment of the "Winter of 007."

    In many ways, the quintessential James Bond film. Features a classic villain (Auric Goldfinger), a great henchman (Odd Job), and an all-time Bond girl (ummm...Miss Galore). Sean Connery is at his smoothest, his best performance as 007.

    I'm rewatching all the films with an open mind, but Goldfinger has set a bar that will be difficult to top.

    Question: has there been a better three-movie run in the entire series than the first three:  Dr. No/From Russia With Love/Goldfinger?
