These movies really are pure cash grabs but I still enjoy them. They come off very exploitive and mean spirited. They are trash but I like trash sometimes. Casting Doug Bradly was super weird and miscast to me. I love Doug and of course Pinhead is one of the all time great performances in horror. Casting him as the father figure of the West Virginian trio of cannibals does not feel right. The English accent doesn't help. Its enjoyable but a step down from part 4.

Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings 2011
The 4th Wrong Turn is a prequel I like getting the 3 core cannibals back. The set up is cheesy horror movie stuff involving a silly backstory. There are some strong positives here. The setting being an abandoned mental hospital during a snow storm is great. We have a lot of practical effects here which is a huge improvement over the CGI fest in part 3. The characters are weak slasher movie quality and some of the lines are cringe.…

A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge 1985
I know a lot of people don't like this one but I always have. Its different but it's also dark and scary. I'd say this is the darkest Freddy ever was. He's not on screen a ton but when he is man is he effective.

Crawl 2019
*Theatrical Screening*
I am so glad a movie like this can be made in 2019 and be released wide among the summer blockbusters. It might not be the most realistic or believable story. Fuck it though. I love movies like this. Its a throwback to the killer animal movies of the past. The CGI was really good and had some practicals. Its actually very suspenseful. Most awesome is the atmosphere and setting. I really loved the Hurricane setting.
On a side note I hear Aja is in talks to reboot Elm Street. I say let him do it.
