This is one of those films that you watch and while watching it you ask yourself how the hell did this get made. I mean its just bizarre. A buffalo like guided slay, A Curling match to save the world, and Bill Freaking Goldberg as the murderous one line spitting Santa. Can we get a Collectors Edition of this one Blu-ray please ? ?/10

  • The Queen's Gambit

    The Queen's Gambit

    ★★★★½

Netflix kills it with this mini series. Its a period piece about an orphan played mostly by Anya Taylor-Joy who is a chess prodigy. Its a classic underdog story with addiction and substance abuse throughout. Anya does such an amazing job with this one. I'm super happy to see her have this kind of success. I feel like they took chess very seriously and didn't sacrifice the integrity of the game for a flashy tv series. One of my favorite watches of the year. 9/10

  • The Craft: Legacy

    The Craft: Legacy

I heard nothing but bad things about this one. However I just couldn't help but cave into my curiosity. I love the original The Craft even though its a bit of a chick flick in the way it feels there still was some crossover. This one truly feels like its made for teen girls. It started out decent but the third act really kills it. I did love the nods to the original though. ?/10

  • The Wolf of Snow Hollow

    The Wolf of Snow Hollow

This one is shot well and the setting has thick atmosphere. The comedy was questionable and felt like it would of been a better movie without it. 7/10

Body Count is an Italian slasher film that feels very American. The Shaman is the most unique aspect. 6/10

The best Last House on the Left rip off. David Hess is at his best. Very well done besides some plot issues. 9/10
Also it has one of my favorite horror posters ever

Pretty standard fair for Jungle Cannibal films. Though I think this one is pretty well done. 7/10

This one is kind of stupid in set up. A little cheesy but not too bad in the indie zombie action. 6/10

  • The Dark and the Wicked

    The Dark and the Wicked

Director of 2008's The Strangers returns with his 4th effort. This one has a creeping dread throughout. It manages to scare. Its shot and scored great. 8.5/10

This is a Netflix Mini Series. I always try to catch the Netflix docs cause I think its their best content. This one was good but not great. I was familiar with the story but I didn't realize how senseless and avoidable these peoples deaths were. Why rush something so crucial? 7/10

  • Jolly Roger: Massacre at Cutter's Cove

Jolly Roger: Massacre at Cutter's Cove

    ★½

    #survive05 #7
Its a pirate slasher. There can't be many of these right? Its stupid as all hell and the FX and Acting is pretty disgusting but I still didn't hate watching it. The extended stripclub sequence gave me a chuckle and the novelty of a pirate slasher was kind of cool. From the man who brought us Mosquito. 3/10

This got a release at the beginning of 2020 and I haven't heard anyone really talk about it. I think this movie is pretty good. Very good final act 8/10
