Doug Dickinson’s review published on Letterboxd:
More like The Big Shrug for me. There are certain things that I appreciate - the editing is impressive and fits what the filmmakers are going for and Steve Carell gives a great performance that stands out from the others who are okay. The problem is I just didn't find it to be funny, which surprised me after hearing so many others call it hilarious.
It really lays on the righteous anger - which is earned given what the banks did - but the use of cameos and breaking of the fourth wall felt too preachy to me, telling the viewer when they are supposed to be angry when the power of the story is all that is needed.
