Dov Doviak’s review published on Letterboxd:
I'll be the first to admit that I absolutely hated the trailers for this film. I thought it was going to be another mindless summer blockbuster to fill the gap between superhero films, which it was, but that didn't stop it from blowing me away. Doug Liman's sci-fi Groundhog Day is fast paced and hard hitting, packing the most sheer entertainment value of the summer thus far. Yes, the logic is sketchy, but as long as you don't get lost in technicalities, you'll soon remember why we can't help but love Tom Cruise when he's in his element. Bottom line, there's no deeper purpose to be found here, and because of that, I can only give is 7/10. One of the better summer blockbusters you will ever see.
