transfeminine frankenstein’s review published on Letterboxd:
There are few techniques in modern cinema less interesting and less inspired than extreme close-ups of text messages on cell phone screens, and Kristen Stewart being perfect (in every shot that isn't just her fingertips) doesn't make Personal Shopper an exception.
The trans feelings literally cannot be overstated. Maureen wanting to "be someone else," surreptitiously trying on Lyra's clothes, so scared but so excited? Come on. (Also, the yellow gloves of her motorcycle outfit are so distinct, it reminds me of the hands of L'Argent)
