Great to see this one again in the theater, even though it was not the original cut (it was the same version you can find on Disney+ today). Streaming is convenient, but not the same as the theatrical experience.

Great to see this one again in the theater, even though it was not the original cut (it was the same version you can find on Disney+ today). Streaming is convenient, but not the same as the theatrical experience.
The additional 31 minutes in the Ultimate Edition really do add to this film, and it's a shame that this edition wasn't released theatrically. It helps tie things together, especially with respect to Lex Luthor's plans and how he helped nudge Superman and Batman to opposing sides.
There's a lot of material to cover here, and the UE does it... um... justice. Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman are major characters. Pitting just one of them against Lex Luthor is enough…
The more I watch this movie, the more I like it. I've always enjoyed Superman and the many ways that his story has been retold over the decades. I remember Christopher Reeve's Superman with much fondness, but this movie is different.
