A bit PG-13 feeling & fairly underwhelming, this is still watchable & I marginally enjoyed it. Staci Keanan, where did you go?

  • V/H/S

Shut it off with a half hour left unwatched. To quote Johnny Sac, “This is very disappointing.”

  • Midsommar

Well, I didn’t love the longer version of this as much as I’d hoped to. I was super sleepy & made the very poor choice to start it post-7:30 on a Sunday night. My eyes were tiny slits at that point, so I won’t complain that it didn’t look as good in 4K as I’d hoped it would...my eyes were mostly closed.

Obviously I’m gonna have to watch it again, but I kind of had trouble spotting the additional 30 minutes of footage...which is weird? At least I didn’t drop $70 on this version of the film! Oh wait, I’m being told I did?

  • The Mummy

    The Mummy

It didn’t start off too bad & the first 40 minutes are fairly good & then everything gets so loud & so cgi’d to death that I just stopped giving a shit what happened. Mainly I just didn’t want this much action & this many fights in a Mummy movie. The plane crash & the underwater scene were cool, but all the other action beats were relentlessly average. A rare misstep for Cruise that nevertheless isn’t without its moments. Universal must hate money to have thought this should be the inaugural vehicle for the launch of their Dark Universe.

  • The Driller Killer

    The Driller Killer

Couldn’t make it past the 45 minute mark. A boring, plotless descent into an abyss of grime. If you finish this you are a hero in my book!

  • Man of Steel

    Man of Steel

Kevin Costner is one of the best movie dads of all time in this. What an absolute banger this continues to be.

  • Lethal Weapon 4

    Lethal Weapon 4

The least of this series is still reliably watchable, mainly due to the chemistry between the characters & the always solid direction of Richard Donner. Are they “too old for this shit”? Not yet.

  • The Night of a Thousand Cats

The Night of a Thousand Cats

    Shockingly, it sucked.

  • Beyond the Gates

    Beyond the Gates

I knew it wouldn’t be as good as the poster but was still expecting a little more. Brea Grant is great & should definitely be a bigger deal than she is.

  • Blade II

    Blade II

I only made it halfway through before I shut it off & put on The Philadelphia Story...so, not great Bob!

  • She Done Him Wrong

    She Done Him Wrong

I guess a better story would’ve helped? The whole thing is dependent on the charm of Mae West, who delivers all her lines the exact same way. I was ready for this to wrap up long before its mercifully brief 66 minute runtime.

  • Mayhem

I was so excited to see the 4K of this on sale for only $7.88! Then I watched it. 1 star each  for Steven & Samara & no other stars will be awarded.
